Douglass Day is celebrated nationwide on the chosen birthday of Frederick Douglass: February 14th. To honor his life’s work, participants gather to transcribe a Black history collection to make it more widely accessible to researchers. This year, the chosen collection is the Library of Congress’ African American Perspectives Collection. The Windsor Historical Society and Windsor Senior Center will co-host a transcribe-a-thon for all ages at the Senior Center, providing snacks and support. Participants must bring their own laptop or iPad.
