Join Windsor Historical Society Program Manager Heather Lodge for a stroll through Riverside Cemetery. While not as old as Palisado Cemetery, Riverside holds within it important stories of a time of societal change in Windsor. Founded in 1887 as a cemetery for Windsor’s Poor Farm, Riverside expanded to include all members of Windsor society including Civil War veterans, immigrants from all across Europe, mechanics, milkmaids, and a beer brewer who secretly continued his craft during prohibition. Come see their stories set in stone.
